URGENT – SPACES AT PRE-SCHOOL DURING
LOCKDOWN
Dear Parents / Carers,
We have now had further guidance from Norfolk County Council about reducing the number of children at Pre-School due to staffing issues and the health & safety of the children, staff and the families of both. This also helps any unnecessary travelling to and from the school site during lockdown.
We are now (with effect from Wednesday 13 January 2021) only going to able to offer spaces to children of Critical key workers and vulnerable children. We have had large volumes of requests for spaces and some of that due to the confusing message from Downing Street about Pre-Schools staying open. Also, if you could only use the space while you are working that would be most appreciated as it protects both the staff and children with lower numbers in the setting.
As you have been identified as a key worker you have been issued with this letter. Please let us know in advance by email any changes to your child’s sessions or if they will not be in due to changes in your shift patterns and you will now be at home with them keeping safe. We are hoping that the situation will get easier after half term or when lockdown lifts.
We need as few children in Pre-School as possible – please only take a childcare space when it is absolutely necessary. If you have a partner at home or a support bubble, they should be used for childcare, if you work part time or shifts, please only use the days you are at work. We appreciate that some parents do require a childcare space but please try to keep your child at home whenever possible – it is the safest place for them to be.
Please reply by email asap to confirm you have read and understood these new guidelines.
Kind Regards
Alison Roberts-Jones Manager
